Article marketing may be the best link building technique around today. However, search engine optimization has lead to a vast increase in the number of articles written only for SEO purposes. These reprint articles now make up a large segment of the online article marketing business.
The streaking popularity of article marketing has resulted in a general decline in the quality of articles across the board. When articles are written for the purpose of keyword optimization, backlinks, and link building then content quality is sure to suffer.
For those interested not only in article writing but also in actually writing a good article there are some things to consider.
Before you even touch the keyboard, stop and think about what you want to write. And not just the general topic. What will be your perspective? What will be your focus? What will be your point? How will make it original and compelling? How will you make it yours?
Decide on a title. Before you write anything else, come up with a good, attention grabbing title. There is a lot of competition out there. If you want your article published or posted it has to get read. With a stack of articles to plow through, an editor won’t get any further than a trite, staid, boring, unappealing title. He or she won’t bother going any further.
Now go ahead and write and edit your article. Writing swiftly and well is a package most writers don’t possess. It is one or the other. If you, like most writers, have to choose, go for quality over speed. Your output will pick up as your experience grows.
