People complain that I spend too much time at forums. Maybe it’s true, but there is a reason for all that. It comes down to getting marketing ideas and tips. Of course, I want to assist other members with their troubles, but if you’re an internet marketer and want to remain on top of things and even be a little innovative, there is nothing like wasting valuable time at your favorite forum. This article is going to talk more on why and also how to come up with those great ideas.
Let’s begin with the why. It really goes back to that old popular adage, “No man is an island.” I don’t care how intelligent and self-sufficient you are. No single person can think of everything all by himself. Everybody needs someone to motivate them and bounce ideas off of. I can’t count the number of times I’d visit a forum and see a thread asking a certain question and I’d say to myself “Wow that would make a very GOOD product. I can’t believe anyone has thought of that yet.” And then off I go to crank it out as quickly as possible before somebody beat me to it.
Alright, that’s WHY you need to visit forums for ideas and tips. The question now is HOW do you get them? That’s a different ball game altogether. One easy way is by simply reading the questions that are posted there. A lot of people who visit forums do so BECAUSE they have questions. I can’t tell you the number of times I see posted on a daily basis, let’s say a hundred. Somewhere in those questions is a hint for a product or a way to promote a product. You just have to take the time to read and learn from the threads.
Another way of getting ideas as well as information is by asking your OWN questions. Maybe you’re curious about what the public think about a certain matter. By receiving their feedback, you can get a lot of ideas and help for new products or ways to market an existing one. Of course, not all the response you receive is going to be helpful, but every forum has its share of well-informed members who love nothing more than to share their experiences. It’s human nature to want to show other people how much you know. It’s from these folks that you can sometimes get your best internet marketing ideas.
The secret to all of this is being able to identify those golden nuggets. Sure, it needs some time before you can make out what’s worth incorporating into your internet marketing strategy. Believe me some folks come up with some pretty lame ideas. But after some time, you’ll learn how to efficiently use the forums. And when you finally do, you’ll be coming up with methods and products that will make you a consistent income for years to come.
