I’m totally agree. Why must I be spammer if I can obtain the same or more result playing by the rules?

I can relate… I have an acne blog that gets comment spams for viagra (if you have really bad acne, why do you need viagra…) and almost everything else imaginable.
There is a good software product for wordpress blogs that helps reduce the amount of spam comments that get through. It is called Spam Karma and it is free to install. It is actually very easy to use, and it doesn’t give you a lot of extra work.
One of the recent things to happen on my help desk is that people are spamming the help desk with comments and links. I don’t understand the logic behind spamming a help desk, because the search engines don’t go there, and the only people to see the links are me and my support people.
Go figure!
