How to Revive Your Article Marketing With Web 2.0 Techniques

By Jade C.

If you have a website, you probably already know about the importance of traffic. If you don’t, this isn’t the kind of traffic that drives you to madness while you’re trying to get somewhere on the highway – although it can certainly drive you to madness. This traffic is, simply put, visitors to your website. These visitors are the ones who can make your internet ventures fail or succeed.

Building traffic to your website means optimizing your content so that search engines can find and index your hard work. However, major search engines have been changing the ways in which this indexing happens, making it harder for websites to be indexed in the way you want them to be.

One of the more prominent ways to rank highly in search engines has for quite a while been article marketing – many people swear by this method to create strong backlinks. However, things are so fast-paced and search engines are getting so picky that traditional article marketing has ceased to be realistic or functional. Who has the time to sit down and write article upon article on the same topic to submit to article directories, while avoiding any duplicate content which could kill your chances of success?

The answer is, of course, very few people. This is where Web 2.0 comes in. You may have heard of this term, which refers to the “new” ways to surf the web. This includes interfaces such as Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook to name a few. Web 2.0 can revolutionize your marketing online, simply because it has the capability to make your campaigns to garner traffic so much easier and more effectively that they can become borderline viral.

You can use Web 2.0 sites and techniques to revive your article marketing, and make this method relevant once again. Picture writing a single article on the topic you’ve chosen. Normally, you would now need to rewrite this article over and over again countless times, maybe taking days to accomplish. What if you could write this single article, then have it automatically rewritten for you numerous times, and then submitted to thousands of relevant blogs and websites which are hungry for unique content like yours?

Welcome to the world of Article Marketing Automation. With this, you can do exactly as just described – you write an article in a “spinnable format” with links to your pages, upload it to AM Automation’s database, and watch as this article is rewritten for you and a unique version is sent out to site and blog owners who are registered with the program. This can create more backlinks than you could ever get with traditional article marketing, with a fraction of the time and effort invested.

  1. Nice article. One more way to revive your old article is to convert the articles into a simple powerpoint video.

Then convert the powerpoint to video with camtasia or jing. Then you can submit that new video to video directories like YouTube.

Create keywords, title and description for your video based on the article. This is something I do to promote articles and videos for local small businesses.
