3 Ways to Survive the Internet Marketing Initiation – Greed For Lack of a Better Term is Good

By Harold Simmons

Greed for lack of a better term is good serving as companion to Fear in driving most marketing campaigns. Some will disagree tossing up altruistic motives but cutting through to the baseline and what drives most to succeed is greed or fear. It is not only money that creates, houses these attributes, it could be a thirst for power or the fear of power.

Many people launching efforts in internet marketing do so under non-realistic goals some created by other marketers luring them into buying their products. Where the newbie marketer first gets pummeled in their efforts is by sheer volume. The first problem is surviving long enough to see any success.

Step 1: Sit down and read much of the available material and select one single approach from the many presented, one that you will follow. It could be Pay Per Click or it could be Bum Marketing. You make that decision based on time, resources, and talent.

Step 2: Once you find the marketing approach of your choice find the best way to implement this approach through research, taking others advice and finally making a decision yourself. Immerse yourself in this effort obtaining every piece of available data to throw into your plan. Focus your attention on this one area; do not diffuse your efforts into different directions until you have the plan in place, functional and making money.

Step 3: Stay with the approach you choose and refine it with time and effort. You will see improved results. Realize this will not be an over night success story. Very few people reach any substantial results for a longer period than they ever expected. This is especially true of those lured into the effort through exaggerated claims of success. Success will come but great effort and long hours will be required before that occurs.

Greed for lack of a better term is good. Making money in internet marketing is the goal. Doing busy work, filling voids of time, effort for effort’s sake is not the goal. The goal, the only goal is making money, possibly a lot of money.
