If you’re not currently marketing with video, you’re missing out on a huge amount of traffic and sales. However, all is not lost. In this article I will explain everything you need to know about using video in your online marketing, and most importantly, how to do it effectively.
There are many benefits to marketing with video, such as it being closer to real life than reading text off a page, as well as it being personalized, i.e. you can show your true personality easier. This also makes it easier for people to associate with you and therefore trust you more.
In addition, when you need to demonstrate a method or a technique, this is done much easier by using video.
So, there are two different ways you can market with video:
1) Screencast Videos
Screencast videos are especially good if you are shy at appearing on the camera in real life and also if your niche is Internet related, as you can demonstrate techniques practically ‘over your shoulder’.
These are usually recorded with products such as Camtasia (the most popular) and Jing (the free alternative), and are often used to show your visitors around a specific website or inside a product for an affiliate promotion.
